Museum of Life & Science - The museum is located on 433 Murray Avenue and made especially for children. It features wonderful hands-on interactive exhibits of geology, aerospace, the human body and the weather. The most significant display is that of Apollo 15 lunar landing module and a sample of a moon rock. There is also a farmyard and long railroad and train which is available for rides.

Magnolia Grill - 1002 Ninth Street. The restaurant has a very posh and sophisticated atmosphere and is known as the trendiest dining experience throughout the whole of Durham. The menu consists of a great selection of Southern and International cuisine, their specialties being dishes such as tomato soup served with crab and country ham and grilled pork porterhouse with risotto.

Nana's - 2514 University Drive. The restaurant was opened in 1992 and boasts as the winners of the Wine Spectator Magazine's Award of Excellence every year since 1993. Reservations are recommended and can be made by contacting the restaurant on Tel: 919/493-8545.

Pop's - 810 W. Peabody Street and offers a wonderful selection of delicious Italian cuisine. It has been voted as the funkiest and hippest eatery in Durham. It also features two fully equipped bars for those not interested in having the best pasta dishes in town.

Durham Bars & Clubs

George's Garage - The club is located on 737 Ninth Street. Voted by the Spectator as best club on the scene. It features a restaurant, bar and dancefloor in one. The perfect place to start off a night and end off an awesome night of partying.

The Down Under Pub - Located on 802 West Main Street. The pub has saloon style wooden doors which open up to a real chummy pub filled with locals. It houses a couple of pooltables, dartboards and offers a great selection of beers, ranging from popular European Ales to American brews and lagers.

Pop's Bar - The bar is situated inside the Pop's restaurant. It offers a great selection of beers and other popular drinks. A lovely place to hang out with friends and relax with an ice cold drink.
