Folsom Childrens Zoo - Home to more than 300 animals with the child's eye-view in mind. It is situated on 19 acres of beautifully landscaped acres in the heart of Lincoln. From mammals such as bears, monkeys, reindeer, otters to majestic eagles, a tawny frogmouth to reptiles and insects, children are sure to see something different.
Lincoln Children's Museum - Constructed as the city's first "green" building in 1989, it offers three floors and 45 500 sq. ft. of hands-on exhibits and imaginative programmes that will allow children and adults to discover the adventure of learning through play and where you can build, dance, climb, create and sing.
Lincoln Parks & Gardens
Veteran's Memorial Garden - A peaceful and beautiful garden that also holds memorials to those in the armed forces who gave their lives over the past years in wars such as the Korean War, World War 2 as well as those that died during Pearl harbour, China, Burma and India, as well as the different divisions of the forces.
Sunken Gardens - Listed as the only garden in the state in the " 300 Best Gardens to visit in the US and Canada", it was originally constructed in the early 1930's as a way to help those that were unemployed during the Depression. Some of its attractions include a four-level waterfall, the Geyser Fountaion, a fountain that is reported to shoot a stream of water 20ft. in the air and over 400 trees and shrubs.

Brewsky's - 201N 8th Str. Established in 1990 as the neighbourhood watering hole and a space for families and friends to enjoy good food, good company, good sport and good times with a menu that ranges from soups, salads, sandwiches, chicken and steak to a children's menu.
Crescent Moon Coffee - 816P Str. Offering a fine selection of coffees, teas, juices, food and the luxury of a shaded courtyard, which is also the setting for a variety of musical performances and readings.
Ivanna Cone - 701P Str. Lincoln's oldest ice-cream parlour which still makes ice-cream the old fashioned way. Some of its flavours include vanilla bean, root beer, blueberry pie and strawberry cheesecake, which is a meal in itself.
