Just off the I-70 this park and campsite is easily accessible and near to local attractions. While the campsites are basic, there are restrooms, showers and swimming facilities. Wyandotte County Lake & Park - 91st & Leavenworth Rd, Kansas City, Telephone - (913) 596-7077. A huge wooded park with a vast lake. The facilities are good with sheltered picnic spots and a playground. You can hire boats, try your hand at fishing or just relax and take in the abundant wildlife. They are open daily from 6 am to midnight and admission is free.

For excellent American style food, you will find a menu with a wide variety. The ribs are the speciality, served with sauce and the portions are definitely for the hungry.

Situated in the Village West tourism district, from the W I-70 W to I-435 N, exit State Ave, W. Great Wolf Lodge is 1/8 mile off the exit to the west and is set in the middle of a maple and oak tree forest. It is a large restaurant with seating for 220 and is open every day from 7am to 11pm. Basically, a camping retreat restaurant serving American style cooking, the setting is beautiful and the food is good.

Oklahoma Joe's BBQ & Catering - 3002 W 47th Ave, Kansas City, Telephone - (913) 722-3366. An award winning concern! World championship BBQ! They are very proud of what they serve and you can taste why. Some of their specialities are Carolina pulled pork sandwich, brisket, ribs, chicken, sausage, and ham. Their hours are Mon-Thu 11am - 8:30 pm; Fri-Sat 11am-9:30pm. Closed on Sundays.
