Carmel Parks & Gardens
Cool Creek Park - Highway 31 and 145th Street. This beautiful park is a great place to take the family for a fun day out amongst nature, away from the more hectic city life. The park has a range of facilities, including children's playgrounds; an amphitheatre; a nature centre; picnic areas; and a few excellent trails through the woods.
Flowing Well Park - Located in East Carmel. This small park is another great place to take a break and relax. It is popular because of its unique well, which is said to be in the top five for fresh pure water supply. The well was discovered in 1904, and has been in use ever since. There is also a 1 mile nature trail, as well as a few picnic areas.
Carmel Restaurants and Bars
El Azabache Mexican Restaurant - 13710 N Meridian Street. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Carmel, and it is very popular with locals and tourists alike. They serve a wide range of excellent Mexican food, from tacos to fajitas and everything in between. This is the place to go for a taste of Mexico and an unforgettable dining experience.
Applebee's Neighborhood Grill - 14711 US Highway 31 N. This is one of the most popular restaurants in Carmel, and is frequented by both locals and tourists. They serve a wide range of traditional American food, including ribs; steaks; and hamburgers. This is a great place to go for lunch or dinner.
Carmel Bars & Clubs
Old Town Tavern - 29 W Main Street. This tavern is one of the oldest bars in town, and is very popular with the older generation of locals. They serve a wide range of beers; wines; and spirits. This is a great place to relax, have a drink and mix with some of the locals.
Dooley O'Toole's - 162 E Carmel Drive. This is one of the most popular bars in Carmel, and is frequented by a mixed group of locals and tourists. The bar has video games; a jukebox; and a number of other games to play. This is a great place to have a drink and mingle with the locals.
Woody's Place - 40 E Main Street. This lively and fun bar is very popular with a mixed crowd of locals and tourists alike. They have big screen TVs that show live sporting events; pool tables; dart boards; and a jukebox available. This is a great place to have some fun, while meeting some of the locals.
