Lahaina Local History

Located between the West Maui Mountains. During the ancient times powerful chiefs and kings ruled this hot, dry ocean-side village. The Pioneer Sugar Mill Company was established but today it no longer operates. Herman Melville who was the author of Moby-Dick was also one of the whalers in Lahaina. 20 years later, the whaling industry waning, and sugar had taken over the town.

As a starter why not enjoy wild mushrooms, goat cheese pastry in an aged Port wine sauce or crispy duck with local fruits or fresh island fish in champagne and cream sauce. For desert enjoy pineapple and vanilla crème brulee served in a pineapple shell. The attire is casual which means you can wear anything from tank tops, shorts and slippers.
