Devil's Millhopper - 4732 N.W. 53rd Avenue. Visitors go down 232 wooden steps to the floor of this huge, bowl shaped sinkhole, which is known as the Devil's Millhopper. The area is full of lush flora, plant species and dozens of tiny waterfalls. A visitor's centre contains exhibits of fossilized teeth, bone and marine shells from eons ago. There is a nature trail, which winds its way around the sinkhole.

Kanapaha Botanical Gardens - 4625 S.W. 63rd Boulevard. The Botanical Gardens consists of 62 acres of land that can be investigated via its mile-long walking trail. The trail takes visitors through a large variety of plant life, including herb gardens, desert cactus, lily ponds, and bamboo forests. There are plenty of gazebos and benches throughout the park for visitors to rest and enjoy the scenery.

Lake Alice - Off Museum Road, University of Florida. The University of Florida athletic teams are called the Gators and you can see why when you visit this area. Numerous alligators live-in this huge lake and wildlife sanctuary. You will find some lovely botanical gardens on the east side of the park.

Albert's Hilton Hotel. This restaurant has some of the best chefs in town and the food, although not cheap, is of a high standard and well served.

Burrito Brothers 16 NW 13th Street This is the perfect place to get take away meal. The primo burritos and black bean enchiladas have helped make this place popular for over 25 years.

Cici's Pizza 3246 SW 35th Blvd This is the place to come if you are hungry. The all-you-can-eat buffet of a wide selection of food is great value for money.

Kotobuki 1702 W. University Ave Try this restaurant if you like sushi, the food here is excellent.
