Flamingo is located in one of the tourist meccas of the world, it therefore stands to reason that the shopping here is excellent. You will not easily find bargains here, but the massive competition does mean prices are kept at reasonable levels.

Kissimmee and Orlando offer the best shopping outside of the Walt Disney World Complex.

Flamingo Activities

Congo River Golf & Exploration Co This is mini golf on a truly American scale. Here you will find waterfalls and a lush tropical environment surrounding the 36 hole mini golf course. The complex also features paddleboats, an arcade and a live alligator exhibit, which allows you to feed the alligators.

Boston Lobster Feast Open from 4pm to 10pm daily, this fine restaurant is extremely popular with seafood lovers. The specialty is lobster from New England's cold waters; also popular is the Seafood Feast, which is a medley of seafood prepared to perfection. The atmosphere here is warm and cosy with rich wood paneling and intimate lighting. The restaurant is located off International Drive.

Emeril's Restaurant The owner/chef of this restaurant has recently become famous as the host of a popular TV cooking show. The restaurant has been billed as one of the best in central Florida with food that is excellent. The menu includes Cajun and Creole cuisines, which are prepared in a large show kitchen, which allows customers to watch the chefs in action. The restaurant is located in Universal Studios.

Little Saigon This restaurant is located in downtown Orlando and features more than 150 authentic Vietnamese dishes. The decor here is simple but welcoming, with colourful paintings adorning the walls. Beer and wine are served here; reservations are recommended on weekends.

Capone's Dinner & Show This is the venue of a themed dinner show requiring customers to come up with a secret password before they are allowed to enter. Styled as Al Capone's Infamous Underworld Cabaret, gangsters sing and dance in a musical cabaret/comedy show that is sure to entertain. Unlimited amounts of Italian food (what else) are served while you watch. Capone's is in Kissimmee.

The Groove This outstanding nightspot boasts five themed rooms offering a wide variety of entertainment that appeals to all types of people. There is a roaring 20's dance hall, a 1960s rock 'n roll room, a disco and a high tech futuristic scene. Specialty theme drinks are offered in each area with live entertainment featuring often. The Groove is in Universal Studios.
