East Rock Park - This is New Haven's oldest park and is a great place for the whole family to relax and have some fun. There are many activities available, including walking trails and a road to the summit and Soldiers & Sailors Monument; the Giant Steps up the cliff; ranger station and playground; a rose garden; and athletic fields.

Edgerton Park - Whitney Avenue. This 22 acre park was designed based on an 18th century English landscape garden. This peaceful park is a great place to go and take a break from sightseeing with many facilities on offer, including walking and biking; a tropical greenhouse; community garden center; and horticulture library.
