In nearby Glenwood Springs there are a number of attractions to keep you busy while taking a break from the skiing. A short hike from town will take you to the grave of the legendary gunman and gambler from the Old West Doc Holliday. The most famous attraction in town is the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool. This 100-year-old attraction is the largest to be found in the world; here you will find two pools one at 104 degrees and one at 90 degrees. Glenwood Springs is also home to the Glenwood Caverns & Fairy Caves, consistently rated amongst the best in the USA.

Glenwood Springs has a couple of restaurants and pubs worth visiting while in town. The Bayou offers Cajun cuisine at reasonable prices in a relaxed and friendly environment. The address is 52103 Highway 6. Rivers offers contemporary American cuisine in an elegantly decorated environment. The restaurant boasts breathtaking views of the surrounding river and mountains. This is a good option for Sunday brunch or dinner; there is also a bar, which opens at 4pm.

In the nearby town of Glenwood Springs you will find the world largest Hot Springs pool, the perfect place to indulge yourself after a day of skiing. The town also offers a decent selection of restaurants, lodges and shops.
