Baylands Park - 999 Caribbean Drive. This park covers an area of over 70 acres and is a great place to go and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. The park offers a number of facilities, including barbecue and picnic facilities; children's play area; and many paths to take relaxing strolls along. The Wetlands Preserve also offers visitors great opportunities for spotting some of the local wildlife.
Columbia Park - 789 Morse Avenue. This 15 acre park in the city is another excellent place to take the family for some fun and relaxation in the outdoors. The park offers a number of facilities, including a swimming Pool; children's play area; restrooms; tennis courts; a volleyball court; a parcourse; and picnic facilities.

Lookout Bar & Grill - 605 Macara Avenue. This is one of the most popular restaurants in town, and is frequented by both locals and tourists. They serve a wide range of traditional American food, including ribs; steaks; and hamburgers. This is a great place to go for lunch or dinner.

Blue Bonnet Bar - 208 S Fairoaks Avenue. This is one of the most popular bars in town and is frequented by a mixed crowd of locals. This the place to go if you're looking to have a fun night out, while having a few drinks and mixing with the locals. They serve a wide range of beers and wines, as well as some hard liquor.
French Quarter Cabaret - 193 S Murphy Avenue. This is a great place to go for a more relaxed evening out, and it is popular with locals and tourists alike. Here you can enjoy a great meal and have a few drinks, while watching some excellent cabaret shows.
Scruffy Murphys Irish Pub - 187 S Murphy Avenue. This irish pub is one of the most popular with locals and tourists alike. This is a great place to sit back, relax and have a few drinks. On weekends the pub plays host to top local bands that perform live on stage.
