Balboa Park Balboa Park is San Diego's largest and most fascinating city park offering 1,200-acres of activities.
The park offers the world-renowned San Diego zoo, botanical gardens, 14 museums, a Tony award winning theater, a pipe organ pavilion, an antique carousel and a miniature train. During the first weekend of December visitors will be delighted by Balboa Park's Christmas on the Prado featuring pageants, food and music and has become a San Diego Christmas tradition.
Old Town San Diego The history and culture of Old Town San Diego makes for a great day to spend any afternoon. The area was first established over 225 years ago as a mission. The area is now home to 37 shops, restaurants and entertainment. Visitors can observe artisans, dancers, galleries, theatre and many shops.
Hotel del Coronado No visit to San Diego would be complete without visiting the Hotel del Coronado. First established in 1888 the Victorian hotel's accents are done completely in wood. In the original hotel each room was distinct and unique, all the rooms continue to display the finest antique furnishings. San Diego Activities
LEGOLAND Located just 30 miles south of San Diego visitors to the area with children will want to make the journey to LEGOLand. The park offers 128 acres of fun and imaginative play. There are 40 thrilling rides and a Mainland that features replicas of many well-known sites such as Washington D.C. made completely from legos. Children under 6 years old will have fun in the Imagination Zone where they can build whatever they desire from a plethora of legos.
Knott's Sak City USA Escape the heat with a trip to Knott's Sak City USA. The 32-acre water park is the newest place to enjoy thrilling and relaxing water adventures. There are many heart pounding attractions as well as more laid-back water activities. Children can also enjoy the fun at Tykes Trough. The park also offers several restaurants and gift shops.
San Diego Zoo- Experience a zoo like none other at the world-renowned San Diego Zoo. The park is enormous with over 4,000 exotic animals, many of which are very rare. The animals live in beautiful garden habitats. Visitors can explore the zoo by foot or ride on the double-decker bus. The park also offers entertaining shows and exhibits.

Mission Beach - Mission Beach is a great place to enjoy the city's diverse and rich lifestyle. Enjoy soaking up the beautiful California sun or playing along the miles of beach. The beach features a wonderful boardwalk filled with many shops and restaurants. Rent a bike or roller blades and enjoy some outdoor fun. The beach is a very popular place for locals and travelers so visitors should expect the beach to be very busy.
Coronado Island - Although Coronado Island is not in fact an island it offers visitors a taste of island life. The "island' can be accessed by foot ferry or by the Coronade Bay Bridge. The lush streets of the "island" are lined with beautiful homes that resemble gingerbread houses. The beach is over a mile-long and is topped off with the fabulous Hotel del Coronado.
Moonlight Beach - Located along the Encinitas coastline visitors to the San Diego area will not want to pass up an opportunity to spend a day or two at Moonlight Beach. The beach is the perfect place to swim, build sandcastles and surf. In the summertime surfing is restricted to certain areas but boasts three to seven foot waves.
