Denali National Park - Located on the northern and southern edges of the Alaska Range, 237miles from Anchorage, Denali is Alaskas principle sub-arctic national park at over 6 million acres. Mount Kinley, at over 20,300 feet high is the parks main attraction.
Glacier Bay National Park The Park is an area of green forests, fjords and icebergs. An icy wilderness known throughout the world. The variety of marine life, including humpback whales, seals, porpoises, and sea otters is stunning. While on land there are bears, wolves, moose, mountain goats and numerous species of birds.

Reluctant Fisherman Inn - 407 Railroad Avenue. This restaurant is more expensive but excellent seafood served here is worth the price.
Ambrosia Restaurant 410 Main Street A pleasant restaurant with a good selection of food and drinks.
Serendipitea Cafe This pleasant cafe offers a good range of snacks, light meals and drinks.

Anchor Bar and Grill 600 1st Street. This bar popular with the locals and the atmosphere is friendly.
Bernie's Bungalow - 626 D St at 7th Avenue, Anchorage - Try this bar if you are in Anchorage.It is a comparatively sophisticated bar created from an old wooden house. Latin and jazz sounds are featured here. The clientele are a smartly dressed crowd.
