The best place to visit for a range of non skiing sights and attractions is Vancouver. One of the most beautiful cities in the world, Vancouver is gloriously set with the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other side. Visitors can stroll around the stunning waterfront area and stare at the magnificent cruise liners that dock at the harbour or visit North America's third largest Chinatown. Apres-ski

Some of the best nightlife and restaurants can be found at the Vancouver Waterfront, try Beach Side Cafe on Marine Drive for contemporary West Coast cooking served on a lovely terrace. Granville Island is a good place to unwind and has restaurants, shops, theatres and a large indoor market selling arts and crafts. Mount Seymore also has two great restaurants that cater to most tastes.

Only 22km from downtown Vancouver, situated next to a lovely provincial park is Mount Seymour. The mountain has a varied terrain with a great mix of slopes catering to mainly begginer and intermediate skill levels as well as a ski school catering to all ages making Mount Seymour a great family destination. The mountain also has a reputation for having the most reliable and consistent snow fall in the North Shore Range which makes it ideal for a number of activities from skiing to snowboarding, a snow tubing park and snowshoeing.
