Mont Orford Ski Information

General information

Located on the mountain flank above the ski school is a great climbing facility that has five multi adventure towers and dozens of aerial bridges with unbelievable views. Other great non skiing activities in the area include the Mont Orford Golf Club which is a hilly 18 hole course set in stunning natural surroundings as well as fabulous views from the gondala and good walking an hiking trails close to the mountain. Village Mt Orford at the foot of Mont Giroux is a quaint little village that has several trails leading from it as well as a quad chair lift.

In nearby Magog, there are some great restaurants such as at the Auberge Chateau du Lac whose restaurant serves exquisite five course meals as well as superb breakfasts Other restaurants to try are Table De Hote which offers great value for money and St Hubert which is the best place for steaks, chicen and ribs.

Overview

Perched atop three mountains, Mont Orford, Mont Giroux and Alfred Desrochers, the Orford Resort has panoramic views over the Appalachians and Lake Memphrmagog. Mont Orford is the highest peak and has a great scenic trail for novices as well as exhilirating runs for experianced snowboarders and skiers. The east face of Mont Giroux leads directly to village Mt Orford which nestles at the foot of the mountain. The surrounding Parc Du Mont Orford is an outstanding wildlife area and has cross country trails as well as snowshoe trails running through it.
