There are an abdundance of parks and trails around the area as well as going on a cruise on the triple-deck paddle-wheeler around Lake Simcoe, close by. Enjoy the Farmer's market, held every Saturday morning for the past 155 years or visit the Simcoe County Museum, with artefacts from native cultures, through the Victorian era to the present day.

There are no lodgings at the resort, but a variety at nearby Barrie, from motels, hotels to bed-and-breakfasts. There are two cafes at the resort to provide nourishment during the day.
