If you have had enough of the skiing, the nearby metropolis of Toronto will surely be able to keep you entertained for awhile. The Royal Ontario Museum is Canada's largest and its five floors contain exhibits covering natural sciences, the animal world, art and archeology and, the history of humankind. Another great spot for the whole family is Paramount Canada's Wonderland. This amusement park has over 60 rides which include some insane roller coasters, and a massive water park. The food is nothing special and is quite expensive so bringing a picnic or the like is a good idea.

Overview

Horseshoe Resort is one of the most popular resorts in Ontario and this is reflected in the fact that the resort is now entering it 36th season. It offers a great variety of activities for skating, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling enthusiasts in its 22 trails. In fact more than half of the runs have night lights, so the fun need not stop when the sun goes down. Horseshoe Resort claims to have the longest season is the province and some of the best training facilities for beginners. At the base of the hill you'll find the luxurious four-star Horseshoe Inn which has a wide range of apr├Ęs-ski facilities.
