General information

At the Rossland Historical Museum you will be able to view exhibits featuring the geological history of the area, native Indians, and the gold discovery. The wild 'n crazy Rossland Winter Carnival which takes place annually on the last weekend in January is not to be missed if you are in the area during that time. At this century-old winter festival, crazy events outnumber the sane ones. If you visit Castlegar, you can cross the suspension bridge and take a walk around the Zuckerberg Island Heritage Park.
