Mount Washington Ski Information
Mt Washington is a great place to explore the rest of Vancouver island.The island is host to one of the world's most important and impressive museums, the Royal BC Museum which houses an extensive, permanent exhibition of Native history and artefacts. The Robert Dunsmuir Castle was completed in 1889 and its owner, who died before it was completed, was the wealthiest and most influential man of his time in British Columbia. Dunsmuir's wealth is reflected in the 22 000sq.ft castle, with a tower of four floors of stained glass windows, intricate wood work and lavish Victorian furnishings.Sporting activities like golfing, fishing and sea kayaking can also be enjoyed on the island.

The resort offers a General Store which offers groceries, fresh produce and video rentals and also acts as a family-style restaurant. The local Grill offers live entertainment with special themed weekends.There is also a Chinese and Pizza place on offer at the resort.
It is one of three resorts with quite significant vertical descents on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The resort lies 130 miles north of Victoria, the island's main city. The slopes reach up to 1590m with a vertical drop of 505m and the longest run is 1.8km. Besides the lifts, there is also a high speed quad and tube park. The resort is family-friendly with child care facilities offered and shops and restaurants at the resort.
