Big White Ski Information
Taking a break from the slopes, you might want to visit Happy Valley and The Village Centre Mall. These venues host a range of activities suitable for the entire family, including Bingo Nights, Movie Nights, and Family Carnival Night. There is also the Mega Snow Coaster and the Happy Valley ice skating rink, where visitors can enjoy roasting marshmallows over a large wood burning fire pit. Big White offers a mini snowmobile track, especially for the younger members of the family, and you can enjoy an old fashioned horse drawn sleigh ride through Big White's magical village. Also on offer is four escorted tours that showcase Kelownas Art, Wine, Casino, Shopping and Cuisine.

Big White offers a limited variety of apres-ski, but those on offer are sure worth a visit. If you want to party at Big White then Thursday nights is Raakel's Ridge Pub night and you can challenge the bar for a free shooter The pub offers a fabulous menu and intense party vibes. Be sure to check out "Nate's Calzone", a priceless addition to their menu. Saturday night is Snowshoe Sam's night with a live band and you can dance on the tables The Copper Kettle Grille is Big White's premier fine dining establishment, specializing in Canadian cuisine, and Powder Keg has an inviting modern atmosphere, offering Greek delicacies. Coltino's Ristorante is the place to go for Italian and North American dining. It has been voted "Best Kids' Restaurant" by Ski Canada Magazine and well worth the visit if you have children. The Coast Resort offers excellent accommodations, with spacious rooms, fireplaces, swimming pool, gym and fine dining.
Situated in the Okanagan Valley, Big White is the highest resort in British Columbia. It has one of the largest, and best, International Ski Schools in North America, and the skiing is mostly geared towards intermediates and beginners. Better skiers will find the masses of off-piste and deep powder most rewarding, while snowboarders can have their day with snowparks and one halfpipe. The whole range is served by a top class lift infrastructure. Snowhosts provide daily complimentary ski tours of the mountain for those wishing a guided adventure. Although not very big in the way of apres-ski and nightlife, this true Alpine Village offers accommodation for over 10,200 people in hotels, condo-hotels, chalets and hostels. There is plenty going on for children and even toddlers too small to ski are being catered for. It is a great skiing venue for families and powder-hounds alike.
