Outstanding Luxury...

Having stayed at the Miraflores Park’s chief competition (the Lima Country Club), I have to say that while both hotels are excellent, the Miraflores gets my vote. As an initial matter, the location of this hotel is outstanding--on the coast, in Lima’s nicest neighborhood, in a relatively quiet pocket, yet within walking distance to the Larcomar and other hot spots. The rooms are very large, very comfortable, and offer great views. The bathroom was spectacular with one of the best--if not the best--showers I have ever experienced. Breakfast was very good and served from a spectacular rooftop restaurant. The pool--while not large--is very well designed and has stunning views. The car service to and from the airport in a Mercedes is money well spent. The concierge was very helpful, and the front desk staff could not have been nicer. In short, you should not hesitate to stay here. But, do try to get a deal. Our room was $189 a night, which was a steal!

The Best Hotel in Lima

We absoluetly loved our stay at the Miraflores Park Hotel!! The staff was amazing and very accommodating. Our friends in guest services made sure that all our needs were catered to. We stayed in a junior suite which was beyond beautiful. It included a huge Roman tub, sauna & had the best shower that we have ever been in. The food in the resturant was fantastic and we dined there for our entire stay. The roof top pool was fabulous & also heated. In the morning we spent our breakfast at the roof top resturant & enjoyed the beautiful views of Lima. I would Highly Reccomend this Hotel!!

Our trip was extra special as we got engaged in Machu Picchu!!

Beautiful views of the oceon. Nice spacious rooms. Great bathrooms with the best shower I have ever had in my life! The restaurant food is great. Overall a wonderful experience

Excellent hotel in good location

This was an excellent hotel in a good location. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very big.
The restaurant and bar were both very good and we found all the staff to be friendly, efficient and helpful.
The only thing that was slightly below standard was the breakfast although the view of the sea from the breakfast room on the top floor of the hotel was very nice.

From what we saw of Lima, which admittedly wasn't that much, it's not a pretty city. But if you have to stay there Miraflores is a relatively prosperous and safe part of the city.

After a long flight from Europe it is bliss indeed to enter a large, cool, quiet, luxuriously appointed room and sink between the fresh sheets of kingsize bed.

Breakfast, taken on the top floor affords a scenic view of the coast and surrounding district and is excellent with plenty of fresh fruit, eggs, juice etc.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. They will recommend a local restaurant (the one at the end of the pier close by specializes in seafood and was very good) and they will arrange a hotel taxi to take you there and back.

All in all we couldn't fault the Miraflores Park Hotel and would thoroughly recommend it.

Safe neighbourhood, large rooms with great ocean views (some have private saunas), good restaurant, friendly service: very good value. Recommended.

great views. Superior location. Within walking distance of beach, park, stores, etc. Staff was exceptional in every way.
There is nothing else a traveler could possibly ask for in a hotel and its service. Restaurant also top notch.

We had the opportunity to stay here on our recent vacation to Peru. It was a fabulous hotel in every way. The restaurant was also excellent. The hotel and surrounding neighborhood felt safe and secure. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved the Hotel Miraflores. The service was terrific and the food in the Poissonerie restaurant very good. The pool area is lovely, with a nice view of the ocean. The rooms were large and well appointed and very comfortable.

fun shopping

We stayed for three days in Miraflores and found the shopping to be quite fun and representative of the entire country. Lots of alpaca, artesans at work with much variety in style and price. Dollars are accepted, even preferred, in most of the shops. European and North American tourists fill the cafes, restaurants, and shopping places. Drink your bottled water and have a delighful time enjoying the complexities of the food and people.

Top Local Tips for Lima

Airport Transportation Arrange airport pick-up through your hotel. Since most arriving flights from the U.S. arrive late at night, prearranged transportation will remove the stress from selecting a taxi driver. It is such a stress reliever to see your name with a waiting driver. Take my advice...do this.

taxis when arrving in lima try not to use the taxis right outside airport, they charge 31 us dollars to miraflores. Walk round the corner, taxis there will only charge 10 dollars. Some hotels can also arrange collections for around the same price. When leaving your hotel for the airport hail down a yellow taxi in the street.

it seemed safer Miraflores is a beautiful area and felt very safe...at all times. many of the other areas we visited, also seemed safer than people reported.
