If you are looking for a hotel that meets super experience, this is the place to stay. I was very impressed the way they had me put in jail, when my party never showed. I was thier travel agent and they wanted to charge me for the rooms not used.

The hotel is very reasonably priced. It is a great place if you want a nice 3-star experiance. I'm an American who use to live in lima, Peru, and I am vey formiliar with the hotels, since my prior job was a travel agent. I would recommend checking it out.

A reasonably comfortable hotel. The bathrooms could do with a makeover and the supply of hot water is not reliable. The rooms were quite cold but a request for more blankets was quickly attented to. Staff don't all speak English but are very adept in interpreting Spanglish mixed with sign language :)
Overall, a good place for the price and Plaza San Martin location.

Location was fairly central to main part of town. English speaking guests need to know Spanish - no one seemed to speak any English. Rooms were of a reasonable size though it is suggested to bring your own soap, all of our group found that the soaps are re-used (hairs!!). Okay value for money in terms of location and room availability.

Top Local Tips for Lima

Never rains in Lima? When the Weather Channel says Lima is cloudy, which is almost all the time, don´t expect rain. Limeños say it never rains in the city, the most that will happen is a very light, fine mist. No need for an umbrella.

Tanta Near Camino Real and Conquistadores, Tanta is part of a new chain of upscale high-quality Peruvian food. Across the street, you can have a fancier restaurant at the Casa Moreyra. Food is excellent in Lima and these are just two very good options.
