Always enjoy my stay at Hotel Sebastian. Very friendly staff with clean and well kept rooms not to mention the great food. As a single retired woman traveling alone I feel very secure and at home at the Hotel.

Top Local Tips for Quito
Dining in Quito We ate at Chez Jerome. The address is Whymper n3096 y Coruna. Very nice. Pricey. No tourists there, just Quito's upper class. Dress well if you want to fit in. We also ate at La Chosa, across the street from the Swisshotel. We loved that too. It was much less expensive and less formal than Chez Jerome.
DO NOT ride the Trolley Taxis are really cheap in Quito. Although a ticket costs less than $0.50, the trollys are overcrowded and one could potentially be pick-pocketed. I would also avoid the bus.
A must Public transportation in and around Quito, is safe and very reliable.
