Dont miss the Teleferico!!! take good sweaters cause it gets really cold up there, you will be at 4100 mts above sea level, also go to Plaza Foch, is very nice at night, but dont forget your sweater ok?

getting a taxi to New Town Hi, you shouldn't have to pay more than $5-6 to get from the airport to the tourist area, in fact most trips around town were about that price.

Transport No need for taxis except the airport. Buses/trolley are abundant AND everywhere. Getting to the airport from your hotel: flag a taxi and say "I have only $5" (it's $6 from the airport to Mariscal), The driver would take it. Also, to get to Mitad del Mundo one does NOT need a taxi: get on a METROBUS going NORTE (North) until the end and hop there at ANY bus saying Mitad del Mundo. Total - 70 cents, and 1.5 hrs from Mariscal including traffic..
