Think before you dine Don't expect much from an "Asian Buffet" on a teeny tiny Caribbean island; don't expect authentic Thai food (but expect a lovely restaurant -- in the Decameron Aquarium); expect lots of good fish.

hot airport Bring summer clothes and change into them on the plane. It takes an hour or so to get out of the airport, and it can be hot and very humid in there.

Seafood restaurant If you want a seafood dinner next to the ocean in a peaceful setting it is hard to beat El Rincon de la Langosta: http://www.rincondelalangosta.com/. We ate on their terrace with the ocean lapping almost at our feet under the moonlight. And the fish was nothing short of tremendous. About 15 minutes by cab from San Andres town.
