The swimming pool was fantastic, right on the ocean, great view. Also there is a beach area, but it is not exclusive to the hotel.

Top Local Tips for Isla Palma
2 suggestions 1) bring cash - they don't take credit for anything 2) don't stay more than 4 days, 3 nights
Getting there You may pass through Cartagena... watch and always ask for taxi fares, they'll ALWAYS try to rip you off. Prepare yourself for a 2 hours ride on a speed boat. DON'T wear jeans or pants, nor shirts or sweaters, it's really hot an humid, I ended up wearing only shirts shorts and sandals. Ask always for directions and guidance, Colombia is a beautiful country but you should be aware of security and tricks to getting around that only locals know, after all we are tourists, and these people make a living on our pockets.
Toucans, Macaws, Dolphin, Starfish..... Be sure to take the Island Tour. Take a diving lesson and be sure to go on the eco-walk. Exchange your money before you go to the Island - their rate is much lower than in Cartagena. Take tennis shoes. Don't bother to take any fancy clothes - you won't need them. Everyone wears shorts, tank tops and flip flops. Take a clock if you're one of those that needs to know the time. Take losts of sun block.

Carlos was Decamerons representative on the boat, spoke a little English, and was an excellent ambassador for the resort. After a short orientation, all in Spanish, we were shown to our room. The rooms were all decorated differently, but still with the Tahitian theme. Good single ac's ,very nice bathrooms, clean and comfortable. Be warned there are times of the day, that the power is turned off. Presumably to service the power generators. Very nice breeze around the island, so if you want a mid afternoon nap, and the power is off, just catch one of the many hammocks on the porches. One caution, the water from the taps is not drinkable, but there are numerous water coolers around for drinking water. The is one main beach area, with snorkeling of fabulous reefs and fish and many other areas of interest where one can find solitude. The island has an extensive mangroves, lagoons with flamingoes and is very isolated, no phones or
TV's. At night, there is a cabana with disco music and is the late night area to dance the night away. Meals are all inclusive, and as are the drinks. People generally gather along the pier after dinner for quiet after dinner drinks through sunset. Two daily shows of their trained dolphins, Adreas and Camilia, at feeding time, conducted by Carlos. Be sure to participate and get a kiss, un besito!!!
