Amazing new restaurant - Oh La La In Gestamani my friend and I stumbled upon a new restaurant that had just opened a week prior (first week of Jan 2008) that was in none of the guidebooks or literature. After going in and looking at the menu and speaking to the owner's wife, we quickly learned that it was a FrancoColombian cuisine that took Colombian favorites, infused them with French culinary skills and presentation and delivered supremely delicious, beautiful and well-priced results! I highly recommend eating there... we even went back for a second meal before we left Cartagena!

Negotiate! Cartagena taxi drivers don't have a taximeter. So they charge whatever they feel like. There are many taxis in the city specially when you go to a touristic attraction. Do not ride in the first cab you see. Ask the driver how much he would charge you to go to the place you want to go, negotiate the price with him. You can also ask the other drivers to see who gives it to you cheaper. You will see a big price difference between one to another.
