The second point is the shabby state of the hotel room : air condition not working, telephone disconnected, room need some updating and brightening up, corridors look more like hostels corridors ( dark and narrow), breakfast is pretty basic ( if you uncover the egg pot you might lose your appetite for the entire day) and you need to be very careful when using the narrow spiral staircase on your way to the dinning room..
Staff are reasonably friendly (that if you can speak Portugese) but management will try to rip you off when cheching out (perhaps they use the fact that you dont speak Portugese)
All in all , a hotel with some potential but would stay away from it.
