Lovely Hotel at the end of the world

Hosteria Tierra de Leyendes is a small family owned and run hotel a few minutes from downtown Ushuaia. It is in a beautiful location and run by pleasant and accommodating people. It is a relatively new purpose built small hotel. The construction is modern but delightfully rustic. The owner is a professional chef and does excellent dinners in addition to a good breakfast. It is an excellent place to stop before or after a cruise stopping at Ushuaia. We very much enjoyed our stay there and would stay again if in the area.
Authentic Little Hotel

I found this Hotel in TripAdvisor's page and booked it via ratestogo website. I decided to write this review because the small hotels we stayed in this trip to Argentina were all great (Home Hotel, Solares del Sol, Palermo 1551 and Tierra de Leyendas).
They really amazed me having only 5 rooms for the services and facilities they provide: Wireless and wired Internet, eletronic safe boxes, excellent water pressure and temperature, telephone services, etc. The rooms are very clean and everything looks like new especially in the bathroom.
The owners attend this hotel and they have excellent attitude and spirit so problems, if you get one, can be quickly fixed.
If you want express check in and check out, a romantic dinner, nice quiet views and leisure. This is the place to stay.

Tierra de Leyendas Hotel, located in Ushuaia, is actually the best Hotel to stay in the city, considering accommodation, prices, food, facilities and special form to receive people all over the world, the owner know how to do this very well.
It´s very important to classified them like the term "Hotel", because they are not a B&B, for sure the right categorization, and no penalization if they are changing to do best all the time for us, travellers.
All the brazilian travellers, from Rio de Janeiro, that love to go to Ushuaia ask you to put Tierra de Leyendas in the right classification with the name "Hotel", because they are very professionals and know how to receive people and give 5 stars confort and accommodation.

Wonderful Experience!

We stayed at Tierra de Leyendas in mid-August and had a great time. The owners, Maria and Sebastian, were very nice and helpful and Sebastian is a fantastic cook. When we arrived Alejandra, an employee, was waiting with advice for us on booking excursions and set all of our activities up for us. The hotel is beautiful with thoughtful touches everywhere. We would definitely go back!
It is like being at home

We spent several days with Sebastian and Maria at Tierra Las Leyendes this past week. Staying with them is like staying with friends. They are extremely helpful in arranging activities, giving guidance on where to go, what to do, etc. Sebastian is a fabulous cook. We had a fabulous time and highly recommend staying with them.

We stayed at the Tierras de Leyendas for 3 nights in mid Apr. It is located at the end of the earth (Fin del Mundo) in Ushuai, Argentina. What a great little hotel. It only has 4 rooms which all have a great view, two face the Beagle Channel and the other two face the town. It was immaculate, comfortable, and very much felt like home. The ower is a gourmet chef who went the extra mile to cook us a vegetarian meal. A full breakfast was included in the cost of the hotel and it was some of the best I have had. The cruissants were home made, fresh fruit, etc. Loved it. We would go back in a New York minute!

Wonderful Hotel, beautifully decorated to the smallest detail. The owners and the staff are extremely friendly and more than willing to share information and tips on the area.

I spent one night in this charming hostería on the outskirts of Ushuaia in the very south of Argentine. Everything was charming, neat rooms with a personal touch, the friendliness of the staff and the fantastic view over the Beagle Channel. I felt more like visiting friends than staying in a hotel.

Home away from home - at the end of the world

We stayed with Sebastian and Maria, and their twin daughters for several days before our Mid- February trip to Antarctica.
We were warmly welcomed after 34 hours of travel, and made to feel "at home". Even though it was late, and we were exhausted, Sebastian made us a 5 star meal that was quite memorable.Both Maria and Gaston helped us with all our trips into town- booked a tour of the Tierra del Fuego park in advance of our arrival, and made great suggestions for dining, sightseeing, wine shops(they even deliverd because they knew Sebastian)etc.
The view to the Beagle channel from the room was sublime- it was quiet, and really close enough to town for our purposes.
I would highly recommend staying here. All furnishings keep the area and its history in mind, and are tastefully done.Being at the "end of the world" in Ushuaia at Tierra de Leyendas was a joy and a privilege.

Fantasic Hotel In Ushuaia

I would highly recommend the Hosteria Tierra de Leyendas in Ushuaia. It is located a few kilometers outside town on a hill overlooking the Beagle Channel. It is clean, quiet and modern, has only a few rooms, the owners are great and speak English.
Top Local Tips for Ushuaia
Activities in Ushuaia We rented a car and drove to the Harberton Estancia to see the penguins. Definitely worth while. We also went horseback riding at the nearby Centro Hipico, which had nice horses, beautiful scenery and a great guide (Ray). Also did a dry-suit scuba dive with Ushuaia Divers, which was interesting, with just three divers in a Zodiac-like boat and only a 15 minute ride to the dive site. No fish to see, but an amazing array of crabs of all kinds in great numbers.
Martinica restaurant At 68 San Martin - come up from the port and turn right onto San Martin, then go quite a way along, and Martinica is on the right. From the outside it looks like a greasy spoon, and the service is typically Argentinian, varying between "I don't give a toss" and quite rude, but the food is wonderful. Meat, meat and more meat - not a veggie option in sight. Huge servings, good value. Sit at the counter and watch the food being prepared and cooked. Huge takeaway business, and lots of locals eating there, must be a good sign.
Taxis Ushuaia is small & taxis easy to get & cheap

Hosteria Tierra de Leyendas it's situated on the end of town that's closest to the Tierra Del Fuego National Park. The Hosteria is also situated on a little hill that offers wonderful views in every direction of the surrounding peaks and channel.
Overall the facilities at Hosteria Tierra de Leyendas feel very warm, clean, new and well decorated. The rooms are well appointed and generous in size, the beds are comfortable, and the views out of our room's large windows were just stunning
Another big plus here is the breakfast, which is including in the room fee. Also be sure to stick around for dinner and have Sebastian prepare some Patagonian dish for you. The hosteria also has a nice living area on the main level, free internet service, and your hosts are always ready and willing to give you the insider's scoop on good activities and services around town.
