My wife and I arrived late from San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, and the staff were very helpful. They provided a hot drink and answered all our questions. The rooms were clean and well seviced. The breakfast was good. This is an excellent value for money hotel. We hope to visit again.

Lazy days at hotel Petit

My partner and I booked into the hotel Petit for a couple of nights whilst we decided where to stay for the remainder of our 11 allocated nights in the area. We found the place very pleasant and after one night decided to extend our stay for the entire 11 night duration.

The rooms vary from single occupation through two, three and four persons. I think I am correct in saying that all romms have aircon, fridge and satellite TV. Most of the rooms are in a square with a small swimming pool at its centre and garden furniture is provided for the guests to use.

Cost per room varies depending upon the type but ours was a double at 95 Peseos (Roughly 5 Pesos to the UKP or 3 to the USD)per night with 10% discount for cash. Singles cost 65 Pesos with the same discount for cash.

Our room was ensuite but there are a few that have shared bathrooms but at a reduced rate.

The staff are very friendly and some speak English, French and/or German.

Breakfast is a simple self-service affair but adequate for the climate.

The hotel is about ten/fifteen minutes walk from the town centre but buses and taxis are frequent and cheap should you not wish to walk.

Two of the best Salta restaurants (in my opinion) are situated within a few minutes walk of the hotel (Jack's Parilla and Mama Mia Italian style) and a very good, clean snack cafe (JC Sandwich cafe) is only a few doors away.

My one reason for not scoring the hotel at 10 is that some of the air conditioners are old and a just a lille bit noisy.
