Puerto Deseado a Must see in anybody´s travel around Patagonia. Puerto Deseado is a nature sanctuary and ideal destination for any nature lover. Its main characteristic is the high biodiversity it has in a very small area. Birdwatching, dolphinwatching, sea lions sighting at hand shot. Nature trips are available from september till april in inflatable boats with outboard engines. In a two an a half trip will be able to sightmore than 15 species of birds, dolphins and sealions. It´s fun, awesome, you must not miss it.

The Esquel - Trevelin area in Chubut province If you are planning an overland trip down western Patagonia, or maybe want to come by plane direct to Esquel City and rent a car, don't miss the Esquel - Trevelin area and the Los Alerces National Park. This region was initially settled by Welsh immigrants in 1865, and there is a wealth of historical information in its museums. You may want to stay more than a couple of days, so as to make the great boat trip to the Alerce grandfather trees, take a ride on the Old Patagonian Express, see the Welsh culture sites near Trevelin and Esquel, cross the border for a day-trip to the picturesque Chilean town of Futaleufu, and maybe do some hiking, horseriding, rock climbing, mountain biking, and many other activities the local outfitters offer. Best time to come is October through April. Esquel has a good ski centre operating in July, August, and September (sometimes through October 12).
