We loved the Wilton (stayed in March 2005) and will return there (again) the next time we visit buenos aires (as soon as possible), the location is wonderful, the staff accommodating and the rooms comfortable. Breakfast is good enough to look forward to.

Top Local Tips for Buenos Aires

Metro card Ask for a diaz , a 10 hourney metro card and use the metro to go to Palermo park, the docks, san telmo, place de la mayo, save your legs.

GReat eats Como en Casa was a wonderful breakfast and lunch cafe just around the corner. Has indoor, and court garden. Where the local residents have lunch daily. My favorite. For dinner, Teatriz, across from Como en Casa was incredible. Also, Lola, a little further in Recoletta, suggested by Sylvia at the Wilton was great choice for dinner. Finally, after dinner - VOLTA is the most upscale ice-creamery and a great scene.

Tango Show Consider picking "Senor Tango" as the best show, and don't let the cheap price fool you ($15 usd w/o dinner). It's a great display of dance and music. The Wilton front desk will arrange it and include bus pickup at that price.
