big city caution Beware of pickpockets trying the "splash donw your back" routine. I know four people who were molested in thsi way, one lost his cellphone as a result.

Getting a Taxi Before getting into the taxi make sure that you have change in Pesos, don't let the driver see how much you have. If posible split the bigger bills and put into a different pocket than the smaller ones. Ask for a receipt even if you don't need it...Keeps them honest. With the small bills and exact change you will avoid getting back from them counterfeit money. They are mostly 10s and 20s, but tourist are easy targets because they are not expecting it.
