A welcoming base from which to explore a fascinating city

Having just returned from a wonderful visit to Buenos Aires, I can say without a doubt that Mine Hotel played a large part in making this trip such a memorable one. The hotel is in an excellent location, safe, central, yet with the welcome feel of being detached from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Lots of appealing dining and shopping opportunities within the immediate area and a vibrant street life on weekends. Rooms are stylish, well appointed and scrupulously clean with wonderful beds and powerful showers...both welcome after long hot days exploring this delightful city. The staff, however, are what truly make this property. All speak excellent English and are well versed in the art of customer service. Nothing is too much trouble and any request is handled promptly, professionally and with a smile. The included breakfast buffet, while simple, was fresh and tasty. The hotel's small restaurant serves delicious meals made largely from organic/free range ingredients...a nice surprise. Booked directly through the hotel's website, a standard room cost $115 USD...fantastic value considering the calibre of the accommodation and service provided. Wholeheartedly recommended for personalized service major chains cannot duplicate.

We feel very lucky to have found the Mine Hotel. After long searching on line for places to stay,hotels vs apartments my sister and I chose the Mine. Our stay was for 7 nights, we were there visiting my nephew who is there to learn spanish. The hotel was a perfect haven to wake up to in the morning and come home to after a long day. For just opening everything was perfect,beautiful,and clean. The restaurant was delightful and with the fabulous included breakfast in the morning and really good dinners too. The owners have chosen the most wonderful staff, very pleasant and very good english, almost the only place we could speak english if we were not with my nephew. They are very knowledgeable on tours, tango lessons, very helpful with maps, locations and very very patient.
I would highly recommend this hotel it is a perfect location,Beautiful, and truly did feel like home. We hope to go back someday.

Well designed and friendly...

Just back from BA and lucked out by finding this wonderful little boutique hotel in the coolest part of town. As other reviewers have shared...the staff was wonderful...all of the front desk staff, the kitchen staff, etc... Staff had lots of recommendations and sage advice around restaurants, sights, or just being in BA. Our room was great (it was one up from the basic room)...the hotel is new, but not many kinks left to work out. Bathroom was private and the shower was strong and hot! My only caution would be to people who don't like to walk...this is a good distance from the metro...which we loved, b/c it gave us opportunities to explore the neighborhhod by taking different routes back and forth (but taxis are fairly inexpensive). Would definitely stay here again.

Clean, Cute and Great Location

My husband and I stayed in Mine Hotel last week and were very pleased....and shocked that they had only been open for about a month, considering how nice it was. The hotel is very chic, the room was stylish, and the location was fantastic. Overall, it was a very similar feel to Home Hotel (where we also stayed), just a little less polished and in a different neighborhood.

The staff was helpful, but not overly knowledgeable about things to do (compared to the incredibly thorough staff at Home Hotel). I think they're still getting up to speed on things to recommend and might get better with time.

The pool was a bit of a bummer, as there was very little room to lay out (only a few chairs), and the sun can't reach the pool. It was built on too small of a garden and too close to taller buildings surrounding it. Now, I don't know if I'm weird, but I like to go to pools to get a suntan. Can't really get a suntan without sun. The pool, however, was very pretty. For some reason that I don't understand, the pool was closed on the day we stayed there (though we could obviously walk around the area and check it out).

The room was incredibly cute, though a bit on the smaller side. Very comfortable bed. I loved that they had a DVD player in the room and a desk for the computer. However, I was not thrilled with the shower not having a full door. After every shower the entire bathroom would be soaked. Obviously not a huge gripe, but still annoying.

Palermo Soho is fantastic for shopping, and this hotel is in the heart of it all. However, if you prefer to stay nearer to restaurants, I'd recommend Palermo Hollywood (just a few blocks away).

Overall, we were very pleased and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

I am a bit of a hotel snob and I really liked this hotel. Good service and clean rooms. I wish you could have a few more towels (only 2!) but it was still nice. All concrete floors just an FYI. Helpful staff.

Superb location, all about attention to detail

Staff at hotel were always helpful and friendly. I stayed in a nice room, very clean and although tiny bathroom clevered distributed. Everyday I enjoyed a extremely kind attention from either staff/owners (from a beautifully packed rose on March, 8th (women's day) to a personal letter or announcement of our next activitiy booked through them) It is just perfect, go and feel it and enjoy it by yourself

Palermo is the place to go and hang out if you want to have a truly impresive feeling on how young Buenos Aires is getting along. And Mine Hotel is one of this places why the area is increasely attractive. It this cool neighbourhood packed with fashion, shoes, beauty shops and fantastic restaurants, you would just feel right standing over this pretty hotel.

Umit on reception was exceptional in all his dealings with us which varied from booking restaurants prior to our arrival, to advising us on local restaurants serving all kind of cusine.Taxis were booked, all our needs arranged and all with a smile and courtesy which all the staff showed to the hotel guests .

At all times the staff were helpful and nothing was too much bother to make our stay enjoyable. We stayed in a very nice room which was very clean and spacious and had a wonderful shower in a roomy bathroom.

Early morning deliveries and collections were somewhat noisey but not something the hotel could do anything about. Breakfast was adaquete and served in the rooftop breakfast room.

We found everyone we met helpful and friendly and would certainly recommend the Mine Hotel to our friends as a place to spend in Buenos Aires.

Put simply...Mine Hotel's staff, rooms, restaurant/bar and location are perfect. If only all hotels were like this. Reserve a room on their website and pay considerably less.

We loved this hotel. perfect location, in palermo soho, close to all the action, shopping, eating, drinking
It is a design hotel, very unique, very comfortable. great rooms, comfortable beds, great showers. We went with our family of seven and it had great places to hang out as a group, by the pool or in the TV room which is right next to the internet.
the staff was what probably separates this hotel from the other hotels with a similar feel. especially Rosa and her staff, who owns the restaurant in the Mine. she was very helpful and sweet and loving and the food is to DIE for. all organic too!
we can't wait to go back!!!!
all of the staff working the desk were also very helpful, assisting us with where to eat, Boca Jr. tickets etc....
on top of everything, the Mine hotel had just opened a few weeks before we got there, but yet, everything was perfect, there were no kinks to workout.
we highly recommend!!!!!!

The Mine Hotel is very much a part of the good memories of our first visit to B.A. It's a very low-key, stylish and very comfortable spot in a great neighborhood, Palermo Soho (lots of shops & restaurants to walk to; it's in the middle of a block with an ice cream shop at one corner and a microbrewery just around the other corner -- what more could you want?). It was a perfect 'base of operations' for our visit. Room was very quiet, good bed, nice big bath & shower. Very clean. We were on the 3rd (top) floor -- elevator access, with windows looking out on neighboring terraces hidden mostly by vines & greenery; you can open the windows. The staff here is excellent, very friendly and professional and always helpful, multilingual. A good breakfast is offered in the restaurant in the mornings; while we ate dinners out every night, we did find that the restaurant at Mine does have a proper chef. Very relaxing hotel to come back to after a late night out in the city...you will be greeted by staff at the desk. A safe neighborhood and a doorman at night as well. My wife took ill one morning (most likely from the flight) and the staff had a doctor to our room in less than a half hour. We were sad to leave the city, we want to go back and would definitely stay at Mine again. Rates were very affordable, relative to the quality of the accomodations & service. Highly recommended.

GETTING AROUND Always confirm your flights. Have the hotel always get you a Remis. This is a private taxi service that is usually known and used by the hotels. Never take cabs off the street they will drive you all over town. Stay away from public transportation.

Eating in Palermo SoHo I have spent a good amount of time in this neighborhood. These are some restaurant suggestions I would make that are all in walking distance from Mine: Mott, Mama Racha, Cluny, Social Paraiso, La Cabrera, Bar 6, BoBo and some great veggie empanadas at La Esquina de las Flores. In Palermo Hollywood, I loved Olsen. We also found a very low-key parrilla called Ravello in Palermo Hollywood with surprisingly beyond-excellent food!
