Native Connection If you know an Argentinean, please use these native speakers to do your bargaining by phone for taxi's from the airport to your hotel on arrival (pre-arrange) or for entertainment shows. We had a friend that lived there and helped us out. If the businesses know you are a tourist, they will automatically charge you more verus someone from Argentina. This was a tip from my Argentinean physician colleague.

Don't wander off tourist streets/areas I made the mistake of taking a deserted street (Reconquista) on a Sunday back to my hotel. I stopped to admire a church being renovated and also noticed another couple looking at the church (might be Iglesia Anglicana) and a homeless guy sitting in front of the church. As I walked by the homeless guy I felt liquid squirt all over my jacket and jeans. I knew it was the well-known "squirt liquid and help clean up" distraction. I immediately quickened my pace and ignored a man saying, "Amiga, amiga..." No one followed me but my time was wasted due to cleaning up in my hotel room. The liquid turned out to be liquid cement.

City is Over-rated. There is nothing of interest to see in this city. No interesting museums, cultural or historical sights. Go to Europe instead.
