A beautiful property in the centre of Buenos Aires. There were friendly staff and breakfasts were traditional, tasty and plentiful. Rooms were clean and full of large old original dark wood furniture.
we loved staying there.

tango get a tango lesson before going to a tango show! we took a lesson at the armenian center near the palermo neighborhood. very fun and social!

Feria de Mataderos We visited the Feria de Mataderos on Sunday before going over to San Telmo. If you are looking for an authentic cultural experience, and are willing to go a bit out of the way (about 20 minutes by taxi, $25AR from the center) then we highly recommended it. It is SAFE for women alone and families with kids (Get back to town before dark) entertaining, good food, good music, and a way to experience the Gaucho culture without going to an estancia. Great for Tango dancing.

I don't think you can get a bad meal in Buenos Aires Cabanas las Lilas is fantastic for steaks and Marcello and Mancini are both good Italian spots, with varied menus.
