Top Local Tips for Buenos Aires

Best coffee in Buenos Aires I don't know if anyone else seems to have this problem, but finding a really great cup of coffee in BA has not been easy. I'm not saying the coffee is bad, but just not "great." Keep in mind we live in NYC and we just spent a few months in Italy, so the bar is high. That said, we found a terrific little coffee shop called Gout Cafe in Recoleta where we had the best coffee in Buenos Aires (so far). The address is Juncal 2124 (bewteen Uriarte and Junin). Around the corner on Uriburu and Arenales there is also a good inexpensive place for a foot rub called Yin Yang Pie (Arenales 2189).

Tango Brujo A neat tango school. Pricey but worth it. i did a private lesson with my sister. we were traveling alone and they obtained dance partners for us. Wow did that help in more ways that one. It was cool to have someone already know what they were doing as the teachers were teaching. We learned far more than if we were with our husbands(sorry loves) but really really fun and worth it. Very atmospheric as well. Can buy both shoes and clothes there.
