Great service, comfortable, clean and safe, cozy, cute, friendly cafe on first floor, front desk staff gives good directions and information, multi lingual staff, rooms with balconies are the best. I have stayed there about a dozen times in the past 6 years and its my preferred stay in BA.

Top Local Tips for Buenos Aires

Subway woes As of February 2008, the subway line from la Casa Rosada to Congress and beyond (Line 1 I think... the color code is green) Is undergoing a renovation. For those who must absolutely use this subway sometime during their trip... stick to taxis. They're very cheap, as long as the meter is working properly. A long trip should cost around 3~5 USD.

A tour in Recoleta Staying in Ayacucho Palace, go walking to Plaza Francia (about 10 minutes). There, go to the Recoleta Cemetery, Pilar Church, Recoleta Village and drink a submarino (hot mil with a chocolate bar) in Café La Biela (they are all in Plaza Francia). You can spend all the morning there, easily. Then take a cab to El Ateneo Bookstore, in Santa Fe Avenue (you spend less than 10 pesos) and luch at Buenos Aires Grill, in the right side of the bookstore.
