Driver to and from airports Have the hotel arrange a driver for your arrival and return to the airport, which is done at a set fee.

Afternoon Tea in Alvear Palace The Alvear Palace is the most impressive hotel I have ever been in. We did full afternoon tea there for about €8 pp ($10) which was a steal. There were about ten courses to it and the service was out of this world. The equivalent in Europe (and there aren't many hotels that are equivalent) would cost nearer €65 pp.

Taxi to airport Don't take a private car arranged by the hotel even if they tell you the price in advance. A taxi will be cheaper especially going to the airport. There is a good day trip from the port to Colonia in Uruguay across the Rio Plata. It is like a different world to Buenos Aires.
