Loved it!
For a single woman going on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro, this was the best place!!! People were soooooooooo friendly to me, I made friends with the staff, the tourist staying in this place. Very close to the beach, to beautiful parks and to the night life of Rio. If you aren't asking for too much, you will be very happy here. The room was good size, it had a locker for your important documents such as passport and $$. The room in general was ok, the bathroom was clean and it had cold and hot water, the tv kind of work but when you are in Rio who wants to watch tv anyway??? I loved this place for the people, and because I was able to schedule all of my tours in the reception area. Very helpful! They even went to pick me up at the airport and they also took me when I asked for a very cheap price. When I go to Rio again this will be the place to stay. :)

Don't stay here during cold weather!
If you enjoy cold showers and cold rooms during zero and 3 degree Celsius minimum temperatures, this is the hotel for you. This hotel seems to have a policy of constantly turning off the hot water to the bathroom and the radiator heaters. Also, most of the staff are either eating or playing computers games at the reception desk. Not a good look to guests.
