Dont stay there!

Very pretty entrance.. but dont be fooled! After recieving our room key and making our way to our room for a shower and some relax time before venturing out to explore Melbourne, we tried to find the rest of our room... it was not in the IKEA free standing closet or in the single bedside table. There was a random sink beneath the single window sill, a naked lightbulb and a very dodgy looking bed. The filthy bedspread covering where we were meant to sleep sank towards the middle, indicating a very aged mattress dwell beneath it. The exposed pipes on the ceiling along with the exposed piped beneath the sink, created a symphony distractions from sleep. The bathroom, 20 doors down and to the left could only be described as something from a horror film. It truly must have been used in a scene from one of the SAW films. Being Valentines weekend however, all of the hotels were full- so we had to tuff it out. We would have spent way above our budget if only to receieve a clean room with a shower. I would not suggest anyone stay in the Kinsgate hotel unless you are hiding from the cops. We suggest you stay at ALTO on Bourke st (around the corner from Kinsgate) They have a TV in the room, phone, covered lightbulb.. everything you would expect from accomodation you are paying for.

Don't Consider This Place!

Owner argued with me for two hours about my booking then I found it on his check sheet. Tried to overcharge me. Dirty motel with stains on the walls near the bed that were disgusting. Messed up my breakfast order. Just awful!
