We have stayed there several times. They have the best included breakfast of almost any motel I've seen, and I've
traveled quite a bit. They are very helpful and flexible -- they don't try to amplify their profits by sticking to rules, such as checkout hours.

It's a simple motel by current standards, but is very pleasant and has everything we need.

Top Local Tips for Eau Claire

Mall area not far away Heartland Inn is within walking distance of a small shopping plaza across the street with Best Buy, OfficeMax, Borders, Linens-N-Things, etc. Also within walking distance is Gander Mountain, Office Depot, and (in nice weather) Applebee's. A couple blocks north is Eau Claire's Oakwood Mall, which has Macy's, Younkers, Sears, JCPenny, Radio Shack, cellular kiosks, TGI Friday's, cinema, cafe court, and most everything else you'd expect. A few blocks south there's Outback and Texas Roadhouse and across the main highway there's Kohl's, Petco, Wal-Mart, and Fazoli's.
