I have no complaints regarding the staff. The housekeeping crew was a little "rough around the edges" regarding professionalism, but very friendly. The hotel is old and it shows. The carpeting needs replaced and the rooms could use a complete redecorating. The years of wear and tear are evident. It is not a bright warm place to stay by any means. Rather, it is somewhat dank and dark, with no views to speak of (our room overlooked a parking lot, as do all of the rooms on both sides of the hotel). This is strictly a no frills practical place to stay. We were drawn because the hotel was listed as pet friendly and we were traveling with our dog. A brighter and warmer place to stay is the newer Wingate which is right next door. Alas, the next time when we go through, without the dog....
