Top Local Tips for Beckley

winterplace Winterplace is a GROUP ski area. They blow snow like crazy and many of their employees are not very helpful or are not well trained. No one would tell me the same thing twice when looking for a lost item. TIP: If you want better service RENT your ski equipment from Winterplace. The advantage is ease of use (although I like the other shops places better - ski celebrations, snow barn) When Winterplace equipment is lost they usually find it and there is no charge, when you lose equipment (or it is taken) and you are using another rental company recovery of those items is not a given and you may be charge, but with the Winterplace equipment it seems to just funnel back into the system. This is not a judgment statement just what my experience tells me. The OFF-Site rental company is very helpful but says if we do not find the equipment we will have to charge you and rightfully so, but Winterplace rental equipment seem to all get turned into the same place increasing return chances.

Shopping in Beckley The shopping in Beckley is a road over from this motel. They have many stores and little plazas. Good variety.
