I didn't actually get to see in Saint Michael’s Russian Orthodox Cathedral because the first few times I tried clashed with very large tour groups from the cruise ships so I decided to try later when I thought it would be quieter - only to find it tends to close if there are no ships in! So if you're an independent traveller like me, you may have to bite the bullet and go with the ships are in to make sure you get to see it.
