Hotel Being Sold - Some Transition Issues

The rooms are nice and the location was fine for my travel. We had a 5 night stay booked. Unfortunately during our stay the wireless connection became inactive and the hotel could not solve this or provide an alternative for a wired connection as they stated they did not have cords for check out. During our stay on the 2nd, the exercise room was closed and a sign posted (guests not informed in advance) that the room was under remodeling. The ability of the management and owner to communicate with guests is limited in this transition time about exact amenities and support which are typical of as we believed a Best Western hotel. We were consistently told that the hotel was being sold and would be part of another chain. No one could solve the internet difficulty for our extended stay. This hotel is no longer a Best Western hotel.

Good location, great breakfast, king-size bed was comfortable as were the pillows, enjoyed the kitchen facilities, great hot tub.

Top Local Tips for Seattle

Must Do's You must visit Pike Place Market downtown with has the fish market and farmer's markets upstairs and levels of various other shops underneath. Once you hit the bottom then you can meander out to the peirs. Be sure to stop at the Crab Pot for lunch, and do one of the feasts. They are a lot of fun, albiet messy, and you'll be a spectacle for those seated around you. Also the EMP is a blast (which also has a great restaurant and cheap all-day parking). Check out the view of the city from the Bank of America building instead of paying to scale the Space Needle. And definately be adventerous in dining. Try McCormick & Schmicks on 1st Ave., and Vwajemia Market across the street (NiJo Sushi- Spider Roll) yummy! There are a ton of awesome Greek places, and a very good Moroccan place downtown too(forget the name). I also highly recommend Pete's Egg Nest for breakfast (U-district), and Pies & PInts. And for a non-touristy ferry ride, drive up to Edmonds pier, and dine on the island.

Free Bus System Downtown Two separate days we went to downtown Seattle to see museums and sites and do some shopping. We parked in a lot (same one) both days and walked and utilized the free bus system for the downtown area. The free bus system was a huge help!
