We reserved the hotel one hour in advance by phone, giving our credit card number to reserve until we arrived. When we arrived the two women night clerks were rude beyond description. Very condescending. Demanded photo ID and credit card information on every one in our vehicle including our minor children. When I questioned why she needed it, she replied, "you are shady if you can't give it to me." This made us very uncomfortable. (Can you say Identity Theft?) One of the women stated "I always have had to give ID when I stay at a hotel, including everyone with me, you must not travel much. I don't know what kind of hotels she stays at, most likely one like the one they are renting.
We have stayed at many upscale hotels and with a credit card of course have never been asked for an ID, and certainly have not had to give one for the entire family. We did look at the rooms, it looked as if someone had slept there a few nights already, no sheets changed, shower was dirty, smelled of cigare... Read more |
