The 1776 was the perfect place for our family and large dog. Very clean and a great place for our dog Jasper to walk, etc. We felt very welcome and will certainly return on our next trip to the Williamsburg area. We're glad we found you.

Top Local Tips for Williamsburg

Shopping is overrated The hotel is located near several shopping centers. There are no bargains at the outlets. The prices are the same as the mall.

Jamestown great attraction We enjoyed Jamestown better thaan Williamsburg. They have a terrific interpretive staff thast interract with visitors and really try to make your visit interesting and informative. The gift shops were great and all the staff very friendly

williamsburg itself Williamsburg was a great place to visit and we will again, every place we ate was wonderful! The hotels on the other hand are a gamble. I would make sure its a newer, or newly updated place. The "pottery" is a ghost town now, don't even bother going there. Stay with the "prime outlets" and or merchant square. If you have a chance you have to eat at "Berrets" in merchant square and Black Angus and the Chophouse, they were all wonderful! First and foremost never stay at the ramada 1776, the place is a nightmare.
