I won a trip for a 2 night stay. When I checked in they forgot to give me my room credit. I fixed that the next day and when I checked out they said I owed $9 that my room credit didn't cover. I was in a hurry and I handed them my Visa check card. Imagine my surprise when I found out the next week that I was charged almost $600 for my stay. I have called numerous times and am still fighting this. The management refuses to return calls and the customer service people have continously lied to me about who I should speak to. I also witnessed another person that was double charged for their stay. I would never recommend this place to stay at. Look up other reviews and you will find more travellers that have had problems with them.

Can we say WOW I came to Va to visit my son and his family and he took me and my 12 yr old son his wife and 2 & 4 yr old for a nights stay in Williamsburg, he lives in Hampton. My 12 yr old loved the Magi game, and the game room is great, The water park is awesome...The room, pricey but when you consider all there is to do and be able to relax and let the kids play you couldnt do all those things any where else for the price of a room under one roof...Thanks

This resort was perfect for my family. With children ages 10 and 12 there was plenty for them to do. The hotel staff was very friendly and very accommodating even though when we arrived for check in at 4:10 pm our room was not available. The hotel itself was quite clean, rooms were spacious and comfortable(we had the basic suite). Busch Gardens was only 10 minutes away. Of course, it goes without saying, the water park was the reason for our stay here and it did not disappoint! My only negative was the food and restaurants within the hotel. The menus were definitely prepared with children in mind and did not offer much of a variety to please an adult palate.

This was our 2nd trip to Wolf Lodge, Williamsburg. Last June, 2005 we were very pleased. Very clean (new), Restaurant was resonably priced with a fairly good variety for family dining. June of 2006 was a different story. Park was not very clean and the room especially the bathroom was very dirty. We asked several different management people about getting the bathroom cleaned before it finally was on the last day of our stay. We literally Had to beg for towels and toilet tissue. Cleaning service wouldn't come round until the evening when we were all back in the room for the day. We went outside of the hotel to eat all but one meal in our 4 day stay. The restaurant only offers a buffet that was very expensive and not very appealing to everyone in our group or family friendly. Couldn't even get a bagel and cup of coffee in the morning unless I wanted to pay $12.95 plus tax and 18% gratuity for the breakfast buffet. 18% Gratuity was automatically added to your check regardless of the service you did or in our case did not receive. Our waitress was not to be found so we had to keep asking other waitstaff for assistance/drinks, etc. We kept hearing the word "sorry" a lot through out our vacation but nothing ever changed. I could go on but I get very upset when I think about the disappointing time we had. If you don't have money to burn go somewhere else. It just isn't worth the high price you pay.

Family (5 adults, 2 grandchildren) stayed mid week for one night. The front desk staff and water park staff was great. The rest of the staff acted like we were as welcomed as a dead person. The water park and other features were great!!!! Room was not very clean found previous guests personal towel hanging from bathroom door handle, trash under bed and table, we had to clean the microwave before we felt we could use it, The room was to sleep 8 we had towels for 6 and had to wait an hour for the additional towels. Had to beg for a replacement roll of toilet paper-found a cart with paper on it helped ourselves. The womens bathroom in the lobby did not have toilet paper in ANY of the stalls and this presented a real problem for a mother of a 4 year old who had a runny problem. When one of the staff was told they just walked away. Daughter had pictures taken by the staff but could never find anyone to show the pictures to her. The restraurant buffet was very good but highly over-priced. The wait staff was very poor-the 15% automatic added gratuity did not provide any incentive to do a good job. Had to hunt done the waitress to refill drinks and it took forever for her to return. When we refused to pay the +$20.00 tip for poor service we had to go through the hostess to get someone in charge who we found out later had no authority to do anything and was about as friendly as a hungry wolf. Her fix was to tell the waitress to do better next time. The hotel manager was very well trained to listen to complaints, smile and then do nothing about them. This was our first and last visit. If you need to go to a water park in the Williamsburg area go to Water Country, stay at a Holiday Inn Express and eat at one of the many restraurant in and around the area. Great staff at all and cheaper. You pay for a great looking hotel but do not expect to much. Recommend the management take lessons from the hotels in and around Hersey, PA on how to take care of customers.

Got a great mid week deal, room was HUGE! My kids had a blast and didn't want to leave. Excellent winter getaway, unique. Love that only guests of the hotel are allowed in the waterpark. The only thing is the safety/security of place. People can come in and out, no way to know if your kids can leave without you knowing. THAT is the only thing that i would change about it. Rest. Are good, dinner place was a bit overpriced but breakfast buffet was good. Nice gift shop. had a good time and plan on returning sometime soon.

The water park was unbelievable! So many things to do in the park and the most amazing thing I liked about the park compared to other parks was the water was not freezing cold but quite comfortable. The staff was all very friendly and courteous. The rooms spacious and clean. The restaurant was excellent. The nightly kids story time was fun. While my kids were at the arcade, my wife was at the spa, and I was at the lodges gym. We can't wait to go back!

Our boys loved it! We took our two (12 & 13) and two of their friends (12 & 13) for a B-Day weekend. They had a ball. The waterpark was excellent and they loved the arcade. The restaurants were a bit disappointing, but there are many great places very close to the lodge... I'd recommend venturing out for meals. My only criticism would be the room amenities. The 2-room suite we stayed in cost over $500/night (Majestic bear) and although the size was great for all six of us and the waterpark is included (tickets to another nearby park run about $25/day), the room was outfitted like a low cost hotel. The sheets and towels were very thin (the waterpark towels were even worse), there was only one mirror (located in the bathroom) for the entire 2-room suite (this would have been a nightmare if I had daughters instead of sons!), there was only one pack of coffee, one small container of shampoo, one small bar of bath soap, no soap dish, no bath map in the tub etc. I expect this at a budget hotel, but this hotel isn't 'budget'. I suppose I could have hunted down a staff member and they probably would have brought us more of each item, but I shouldn't really have to. When we go to hotels like this (we travel frequently as a family), we just expect it to be there. I guess what I'm saying is, don't expect a $500 room with amenities as such (or even a $400 or $300 room). Expect the same thing you would at a standard stop along the interstate (bring your own towels, shampoo, hairdryer, soap etc) ... but with a great waterpark as a bonus.
