Our family stayed five great nights at this great hotel. We got to the Econo Lodge around 1:30PM and we were still able to get to check in and go to our room. We were on the top floor. The room was extremely clean and was in great shape for a hotel room. There was a balcony overlooking the beach and boardwalk. The heated outdoor pool was in great condition for swimming in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We are planning on staying there next year.

Top Local Tips for Virginia Beach

Park your car, grab a coupon book & vistors guide, & then walk.... Unless you're heading "inland", after you park your car, walk or use the trolley/bus that runs up & down the beachfront. It looks like parking is a premium at all of the hotels so if you get a good spot, try to leave your car there. The coupon books & visitors guides have great deals & they usually serve as great reference guides (they do in Virginia Beach) in some places.

TV Channel Maybe I did not see it....but I would have like to have seen a tv channel specifically for the beach and what to see and how to see it. All I saw was reports on the weather and a crawl of local news. If there is a channel, it definitely was not informative. Having good video/audio of places to see and visit would be great.

Worth picking up It's worth looking through those coupon and attraction guide books you often see in lobbies - can get some great discounts!
