Top Local Tips for Virginia Beach

Traffic concerns, agressive drivers Depending which way your coming in, it can be a long ride. Driving through the Hampton Tunnels took us an hour. The traffic was horrible. We found VA drivers to be be agressive and oblivious to other drivers. In our past stays in VA Beach we did not have this problem. It seems to have gotten worse or it was just a bad time of the season.

Dinnd, Shopping, Night life There is so much to do in this area. Right there on the boardwalk there's concerts, beautiful beach, and much more. Dining in the immediate area is great but I REALLY encourage you to venture out! There's a "Ruth's Chris Steakhouse," Cheesecake Factory, and so many more! Shopping in many of the stores in the immediate area is grrreat!

Nice restaurants in this area There are excellent restaurants in this area. You can't go wrong. Lavernes/Chix Cafe is next door in the Quality and the Black Angus is down the street as is Mahi Mah's. A little unknown place Kimbell's has cooked to order meals, nothing made up ahead of time and is excellent. If you forgot something there are two stores within walking distance for the basics. We park our cars when we arrive and can walk to everything all week long. Nice Nice area! Beautiful views!
